independence day

I’m as tired as a sunburned chicken who spent the day on a mechanical bull.  To celebrate Grenada’s Independence Day, Jack’s school took a trip to Grand Etang, and I went with them. Aren’t they sweet?

    Awwwwwwwwwwwww…

I keep on looking at kids older than the Babe and imagining her at that age and thinking “Oh, but she’s going to have so much _fun_!”

little_bounce´s last blog post..And lo, ben Adam’s name led all the rest…

they are all so cute. Isnt it so true that you cant explain the joys (not the trials) of parenthood!

@little-bounce I know EXACTLY what you mean, because I still think that about Jack. I’m really really really looking forward to him being 7. I hear that’s the age of reason, lol. This morning one of my facebook friends posted that her daughter lost her first tooth yesterday… I can’t wait for things like that.

@basantam So true. The trials (and fears!) are pretty easy to explain, even the ones that are kind of weird or irrational. The joys are sublime, though, very much you-had-to-be-there kind of things. Right now Jack’s verbal skills are snowballing, which is so gratifying, but… Does it make me a bad mommy that I crack up every time he pronounces “truck” as “fuck”? I soo need to practice my game face.
